Was a well-known mural painter and designer. Personally and professionally she went by the name Hildreth Meiere and not as Marie Meiere or Marie Goebel. Upon her divorce from Mr. Goebel she returned to her maiden name. At the time of her death she had designed over 100 commissions for public buildings, churches, bars, ships. World Fairs. She was most famous as an Art Deco muralist and decorator whose work stands among the most distinguished of her era.
