On my return to Connecticut later this month, I will post an update on the Hildreth DNA project to include the number of Hildreth males tested, and an overview of the very interesting results. Richard and Thomas Hildreth would be quite amazed to know of the long list of their descendants who are now scattered throughout America. We have also had one Hildreth, a native of the UK, participate in our DNA project who has matched my DNA in 24 of the 25 markers tested.

Although DNA testing does not replace conventional genealogy research, great strides have and are being made, which can be of immeasureable help to the genealogist whose paper trail has come up against a wall. Please feel free to contact me if you wish to participate in the Hildreth DNA project
